Leading smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has huge expectations on its next launch OnePlus 5. This new successor for OnePlus 3 is expected to launch in the second quarter this year. Now, the latest reports say that the device suggests that the smartphone sports a dual camera setup in its rear.
Moving further, the report reveals that the OnePlus 5 features aluminum brushed design at rear beside the metal frames. The device won’t get a fingerprint scanner at the rear and incorporates in the display on the home button. Another major change you observe in the new OnePlus 5 is the absence of antenna bands on the rear.
Besides these, the smartphone gets Oxygen OS based on the latest Android Nougat. However, present OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T runs on the same Android Nougat.
If other rumors were believed true, OnePlus 5 would be powered by an octa-core processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. It may boast the highest 8GB RAM. The design of the smartphone could pack feature extreme slim bezel. Though all these were just rumors, confirmation can only make after OnePlus teasing out the device officially.
OnePlus is skipping the number ‘4’ in its series after OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The smartphone was earlier spotted in China Radio Regulation Authority with model number A5000. This confirms the device could be OnePlus 5 as the earlier models OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T bears model numbers A3000 and A3010 respectively.
