Japanese automaker Nissan has reportedly slashed the prices of its mid-sized sedan Sunny in India. The car now comes down up to Rs. 1.99 lakh for a better localization. Nissan Sunny starting price listed at Rs. 6.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new prices get the petrol variant of Nissan Sunny for Rs. 6.99 lakh with a cut down of Rs. 1.01 lakh. On the other hand, the top end automatic transmission variant of Sunny will get a price cut of Rs. 1.99 lakh. The price of the basic model in the diesel variant is slashed by Rs 1.31 lakh and is now priced at Rs 7.49 lakh. Nissan Sunny top-end variant now gets cheaper by Rs. 94,000 and will be now available for Rs. 8.99 lakh.

Nissan has slashed the prices automatic transmission variant of Micra in India by Rs 54,252.
For reference, Nissan Sunny comes with diesel and petrol variants. The 1461cc diesel unit makes 85 hp and churns out 3750 rpm. The 1498cc petrol unit produces 98 hp at 6000 rpm. Both the engines come with five-speed manual gearbox and a CVT unit option.
