Popular children’s singing reality show ‘The Voice India Kids’ which was started with 94 contestants is backed by three mentors as 3 groups. The participants came across India.
Bollywood industry playback singers Shaan, Neeti Mohan and music director Shekhar Ravjiani were the mentors.
After a series of weekly eliminations, 18 contestants were left in the final rounds. The elimination was done through audience votes.
Amongst the 18, only 6 finalists were in the final round. Out of 18 only 3 contestants – Kavya Limaye, Vishwaprasad and Nishtha from Neeti Team, 2 contestants – Pooja Insa and Priyanshi Sharma from Shaan Team and finally 1 contestant – Shreya Basu from Shekhar Team were in the race for the title.
Nishtha stood as the winner and received a winning cheque amount of Rs 25,00,000. She was also chosen for a recording contract from Universal Music. The other two runners-up Pooja and Kavya got Rs 10,00,000 each.
Nishtha Sharma basically has a musical background family. She is from Sultanpur. Both her parents are music teachers. They run a music institute in Sultanpur. She has an elder brother who is pursuing his B.A. in music.
After winning, Nishita thanked her coach for mentoring and guiding her towards victory. She also thanked her parents for encouraging and making her passion for singing a success.
She described ‘The Voice India Kids’ singing competition show as a great platform for the upcoming singers. She set herself as example for the success of the show. Such shows brings the singers potential into limelight and get an opportunity to walk towards the film industry.
The finale episode was aired on TV. Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma were invited to the show for promoting their forthcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The Voice India Season 2 was also announced.
