The much anticipated Moto Z series announced in India, after a month of its launch in IFA 2016 held in Berlin. Lenovo India launches these modular smartphones with external mods to connect accordingly. Moto Z play will be available on both Flipkart and Amazon India from 11:59 pm on October 17.

Came up with a campaign of ‘Skip the sevens,’ Moto Z series rolls out with external Moto Mods connects to the rear of the devices through the 16-dot connector interface will also be listed on the e-commerce sites.

Moto Z play features a 5.5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution with 403ppi. Corning Gorilla Glass on the top protects the screen of the phone. An Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2GHz coupled with 3GB RAM powers the device.

Adreno 506 GPU provides a better and lag-free graphics. An internal memory of 32GB is provided and is expandable up to 2TB with micro SD slot provided. Moto Z play runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the company’s User Interface. The device launched in Dual SIM variant in India.

On camera font, the device boasts a 16 MP primary camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, Laser Autofocus, 1.3um pixel, f/2.0 aperture. Another 5 MP front facing the camera with Wide-Angle lens, LED flash is provided on the front panel for video calling and shooting selfies.

The device also sports a Fingerprint sensor, loudspeaker, and 3-microphones on the front panel. Moto Z Play measures dimensions of 156.4 x 76.4 x 6.99mm and weighs about 165 grams. The device flaunts a water repellent nano-coating on the front and Moto Mods connector on the rear panel.

Moto Z play offers a good range of connectivity options which include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), NFC, USB Type-C port. A 3510 mAh battery backs the device which ensures a mixed usage up to 45 hours.

The smartphone also supports fast charging option which delivers standby up to 8 hours for a charging of 15 minutes with the TurboPower charger provided in the box.  Moto Z play is available in Black and White colors and tagged a price of Rs. 24,999 in India.
