The 70 year old, Elton John announced that his upcoming world tour would be his last. During the 60th Grammy Awards, he performed his biggest hit Tiny Dancer with Miley Cyrus.
Elton was dressed in jacket with glitter and mirrors. He was also wearing mirrored sunglasses, whereas Miley Cyrus was stunning in a maroon sheer gown. Elton sat at the piano and started performing the song. Then, Miley Cyrus came up on the stage and continued performing the iconic song.
After the performance, she took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards Elton. She tweeted, “Sir Elton John, I can’t thank you enough for giving me the honor of performing with you tonight at The Grammys!” She continued to say that she loved every moment she had spent with him over the years and would cherish each second of his kindness. Then, she added, “Let’s kick ass and keep fighting for an end to the AIDS epidemic!”
Elton John’s final tour will be in September. He would be performing in several cities of North America like New York, Boston, Houston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and more. These will run through March 2019.
Artists like Lady Gaga, Pink, Sam Smith, Sting, SZA, Childish Gambino, Daddy Yankee, and Luis Fonsi also performed on the awards night.
