The much-awaited crossover from India’s leading car manufacturer Maruti which is Ignis has been unveiled by the company, and the bookings for Maruti Suzuki Ignis opened from January 3, 2017.

The car will be coming to the showrooms on January 13, and if you are interested about, then you have to pay Rs 11,000 for booking online.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis is available in two variants which are 1.2-liter k-series petrol engine and 1.3 liter DDIS diesel engine. The engine specifications of Ignis are as same as Baleno. The important thing is that Baleno has an automatic transmission only for petrol versions and coming to the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, both engines will be provided AMT gearbox.

The AMT version will be available in the Zeta and Delta variants while the Sigma and Alpha version will be offered with a 5-speed manual. The engines stand by to the BS6 emission types which are expected to be implemented by April 2020.Moreover, the Ignis is supported by the same platform which has been seen on the Maruti Baleno.

Maruti Ignis Exterior

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Exterior simply seems like a crossover and it outside the car it looks sporty. The design of the compact crossover is highlighted by large square LED Projector Headlamps and daytime running LED light that are connected by a chrome lined honeycomb mesh grille.

The front bumper consists of round fog lamps and simply the frontier part looks cool and beautiful. Coming to the side profile, the Ignis sports bulging wheel arches, blacked out A and B pillars while the C-pillar features the Suzuki progressive Trio. The rear part of the Ignis Sports LED taillights.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Interiors

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Interiors are unique and come with dual-tone colors. The car gets multiple switches on the center console while toggle switches are used to control the air conditioner and other options.

The features include 7-inch touch screen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Support, automatic climate control, keyless entry and parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis Engine Specifications

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be available with 1.2-liter petrol and 1.3-liter diesel engine options. The 1.2-liter k-series petrol engine produces 84 bhp of power and 114NM of torque while1.3 liter diesel delivers 74 bhp along with190 NM of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a 5-speed AMT gearbox as an option on both the engines.

Maruti Suzuki Bookings, Launch Date, and Price

Maruti Suzuki Bookings had already opened from January 3 and the online bookings through a mobile app will be available from January 1. The Ignis will arrive to exclusive showrooms from 13th January 2017. The Ignis will be sold through NEXA dealerships channel. Maruti Suzuki Ignis Price is expected to be Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 7 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
