L&T company planning to build world’s biggest stadium in Gujarat. In motera district we have Sardar Patel cricket stadium, Gujarat Cricket Association has taken decision to expand the ground and make it as world’s biggest.
It is the dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Finally it got approved, and the process will start soon. At present capacity of the stadium is 54,000 with six pavilions. Their plan is to build a new stadium of capacity of 1, 10,000.
Up to now Melbourne Cricket Ground is recorded as the largest cricket ground which can hold 100,024 people, so they are planning to build this motera stadium with capacity of 1, 10,000.

Gujarat Cricket Association officials said the ground is handed over to L&T Company for expansion. They are designing this new stadium along with amazing infrastructure with an increase in the number of air-conditioned boxes and up-gradation of the parking facilities.
GCA secretary Rajesh Patel said the entry, stay and exit processes will be smoothed and proper guidance will be given to the people. Other key facilities like eateries, fan-zones and washrooms will be of absolutely top notch quality. In the next two years, the new structure will get ready.
