With an aim to make Life Insurance accessible for the rural population, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched two new schemes, namely ‘AADHAAR Stambh‘ for men and ‘AADHAAR Shila‘ for women on Monday.
The corporation made Aadhar linking compulsory to avail these policies. Through these plans, the people will get an assured amount of Rs. 75,000 minimum and a maximum of Rs 3 lakhs and the period will be 10 to 20 years.
All the males and females should be between 8 to 55 years of age to get these schemes. In a press meet, conducted by the officials on Saturday, they made it clear that the premiums are cheaper for these new policies than the existing ones.
As the LIC employees are missing out the rural population, they have invented these two schemes especially for them. In a statement released by the officials, they mentioned that to complete 70,000 news policies by the end of this fiscal year within their division.
They made it clear that when compared to premiums in both the plans, it is cheaper for males than females. They classified the premiums depending on the life expectancy of both the genders. They mostly targeted the rural population and wanted to make nearly 50 percent of them to come under these two schemes of LIC.
