Jennifer Lopez is setting back to ‘Will & Grace’. This time, she will not be performing one but two different roles.
Lopez made her first appearance in two episodes of Will & Grace at the end of season 6 in which she played and performed at Karen’s (Megan Mullally) wedding. Lopez apparently grew up with Karen’s maid, Rosario (Shelly Morrison) in Bronx. At the nuptial, she sang her hit ‘Waiting for Tonight’ and had one of her dancers as Jack (Sean Hayes).
The guest spot showcased Lopez’s comedic timing and her ease with self-deprivation. Lopez demanded everyone to wear her branded jeans and her new Glow fragrance. The marriage of Karen and Lyle Finster (John Cleese) lasted for twenty minutes after it began, but they had a hell of wedding singer.
One of her appearances would be as the character of ‘Shades of Blue’, NYPD detective Harlee Santos. How would it work? Well, we should wait for it. We have no idea, but we have to wait to see the hysterical way in which Will & Grace’s co-creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan bring the street-wise cop into their decidedly lighter world.
And another appearance would be again as herself, as reported.
Lopez joins an amazing list of returning guest stars, which includes Harry Connick Jr., Minnie Driver, Michael Arangano, Leslie Jordan, and a still-to-come Bobby Cannavale.
Will & Grace airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC, while Shades of Blue returns for its third season.
E! And NBC are both part of NBC Universal family.
The possibilities are truly endless, but NBC has not yet released more details about the guest spot. Hopefully, though, it will feature at least one more dance routine—and another opportunity for Jack to take the stage.
