Western Naval Command Mumbai has issued a high alert across the Coast line after four people spotted moving suspiciously in military uniform on Thursday. The incident took place in Uran which is about 47kms from Mumbai and interestingly, school children reported the suspicious men.

Police have closed down the schools and carrying searches as the information is sensitive. Inside the story, the children of school SES have spotted some people with weapons in black camouflage uniform near the Uran Navy base. The children alerted the local police, and the people had hidden their faces which made the children suspect them

“Children of Uran education society spotted the suspicious men, after which the police were informed,” says, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dilip Sawant, Navi Mumbai. “The searches were on, and so far nothing had been found,” he added.

“I am only confirming that Navy is at a high state of alert after getting this input regarding suspicious activity reported by some school children in Karanja near Mumbai,” said captain DK Sharma.

Security has been boosted up across the sensitive locations in the Coast which include Raj Bhavan, Gateway of India, Bombay High Court, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and other such near the sea.
