The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday engaged the Delhi Government and Delhi Police to seize four wheelers vehicles running on diesel in the Delhi under the Environment Protection Act.

The bench also focused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government to hold a meeting with the neighboring states on the issue of identifying land pockets to be used for impounding four wheelers those are running on Diesel.

The NGT in a statement said, “Vehicle which is already lock up for many years and are in scratched conditions must be removed with immediate effect from Delhi.”

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) recommended two areas in Delhi for impounding actions. As we know earlier, the NGT had ordered Delhi Government to strictly stop ten years old diesel vehicles from using on the roads in the capital of India.

The Government had also faced a volley of searching questions on the dangerous air pollution levels. The bench expressed its anger on the Government that its previous order on the banning of 10 years old vehicles was not seriously executed and many cars are still running on roads and even traffic police doing nothing in the matter.

Meanwhile, National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday engaged the heavy industries ministry to frame a policy for arguing of more than 15-year old diesel vehicles in Delhi and provide reasons for all those selecting for it.
