Huawei has introduced Honor 8 Lite smartphone recently in Indian market priced at Rs. 17,999. The company aims to gain retail sale of the device across India with the launch in Honor offline stores.
“While both Huawei and Honor have gone from strength to strength in the online space, we feel that it is the opportune time to focus on our offline sales. Online sales only contribute to one-third of total smartphone sales and (the move is) in order to realise our goal of becoming the leading smartphone manufacturer in India,” says P Sanjeev, Vice-president, Huawei India Consumer Business Group.
The manufacture aims achieving 10 percent of market share in the country by end of this year. This move signs the lower traction of products for e-commerce platforms. However, the platform has observed a millions smartphones sold out in flash sales.
Honor 8 Lite features 5.2-inch display and comes with 4G VoLTE support. The device runs on latest Android Nougat with company’s UI on top. It boasts 4GB RAM on board along with 64 GB internal storage. However, the storage can be expanded up to 128 GB with microSD card.
On camera font, the device packs12 megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixels front camera. The device is backed by a 3000 mAh battery which promises 15 hours of video loop or 93 hours of music playback.
