Indian automotive manufacturers are gearing up with the BS IV norms compliant models. Recently, Honda has announced its latest 2017 CB Shine which conforms to BS IV emission norms. Besides the BS-IV engine, the CB Shine also gets a few updates. The latest CB Shine also gets the auto headlamp feature apart of BS IV norms.

New 2017 CB Shine adds two new metallic colors Athletic Blue and Imperial Red to their range. Apart from this, there are few updates which include a chrome cover for the carburetor, a chrome cover for the exhaust, a premium touch to the motorcycle and 3D emblem graphics on the fuel tank.

The motorcycle didn’t undergo any significant mechanical changes and continued to get a 124.9cc engine. The provided engine on the 2017 CB Shine produces 10.16 bhp and 10.3 Nm of torque

“It was rolled out of Honda’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Of course, the silencer muffler is new, Honda has tinkered with the settings of the catalytic converter and the carburetor, so as to meet the BS IV efficiency norms,” Says, Y.S Guleria, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. “The company is fully prepared to upgrade its entire line-up to meet BS IV norms and will comply with the 31st March 2017 deadline for the same.” He added.

New 2017 CB Shine will be available in three variants which will be the disc brake variant, the drum brake variant and the disc brake with Combi-Braking System (CBS). Honda claims that CB Shine 2017 prices will be hiked marginally.

Honda CB Shine first launched in 2006 has now become largest selling 125cc motorcycle in India. Honda Shine claims its stake of 36 per cent in 125cc segment in India. Honda also says that India is one of the largest growing markets for Honda sales.
