The State is facing the major shortage of teachers in Government Schools. Nearly, 9455 Junior Basic Training Teachers in Haryana will issue appointment letters long back after three years. In the year 2014, they were selected during Hooda Government, but their appointment was stayed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court where few candidates alleged irregularities in the recruitment.
Even though the Haryana State has sanctioned 127262 teacher posts for Government Schools, it has only 77331 regular teachers and 13681 guest teachers working as contractual employees.
The Education Minister of Haryana, ’Ram Bilas Sharma’ on Monday evening confessed that issuing of appointment letters to the 94555 teachers beings from Tuesday.
Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (Education) PK Das said that the actual number of selected candidates might be less than 9455 teachers.
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts in Madhuban (Karnal) are also examining candidates. As per the sources, they have already raised the questions on the selection because about 350 appointed teachers signature and thumb impressions were not exactly matching with those who had actually appeared the exam.
The Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday announced that the appointment letters for Haryana JBT Teachers would be issued within 24 hours as soon as the Government receives Court orders. He said, “The thought that these teachers were selected during the previous Government’s tenure and therefore should not be recruited, never crossed my mind.”
“The procedure to issue appointment letters to selected JBT teachers will begin tomorrow, and it would take a week’s time to complete,” said by Ram Bilas Sharma.
