GoPro has unveiled a new 360-degree camera GoPro Fusion. The camera is able to shoot 360-degree videos at 5.2K and 30 frames per second. GoPro Fusion 360-Degree Camera is small enough which could be carried easily. The camera is compatible with GoPro’s mounts and accessories.
The camera comes with an OverCapture feature which lets you capture non-VR videos and photos from the 2.5K spherical video in HD-quality.
“Fusion is just that, the ability to capture every angle simultaneously…as though you had six GoPro cameras fused into one. Whether filming for VR or traditional fixed-perspective content, Fusion represents the state-of-the-art in a versatile spherical capture,” says, GoPro founder and CEO, Nicholas Woodman.
GoPro hasn’t unveiled camera’s specifications as of now and will get to know more of it after its commercial launch. The OverCapture features in the GoPro Fusion allow you to record and capture everything and then select the best framing later on.
To sign up for the GoPro Fusion, you need to apply for participating in a pilot program started Thursday. GoPro will only be working with select pilot partners – including agencies, brands and content professionals. The commercial release of this new 360-degree camera is expected by the end of 2017 and price of the camera will be known then.
