The GOA State Education Department has asked all schools to pre-pone the first-term examinations. To avoid clash With FIFA – U17 matches which are going to be held in October this decision has been taken. So, the term examinations are conducted before October 7.
Apparently, this year FIFA-Under 17 is going to hosted by the GOA state. The matches will be held at Pandit Jawaharlal Stadium in Fatorda from October 7 to October 21, 2017. The decision is to pre-pone the exams so that the students won’t miss this “once in a lifetime event” of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) matches.
Initially, the first term school examinations of the state are scheduled to be held after October 7th. On Monday, the State board of Education, Goa circulated the message addressing all the schools.
The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the 17th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. FIFA under 17 world cup will hold in India, Goa hosting few matches. Goa is considered as the most football crazy state.Director of Education G.P Bhat requested all the school head of departments to re-schedule the term exams to finish on or before.
The Circular was sent to all the schools on Monday. “to enable the students to witness the matches of once in a lifetime event, it is enjoined upon heads of all schools in the State to re-schedule the first terminal examination/summative examination so that it gets over on or before October 7, 2017.Regular classes will continue until the end of the term,” said the circular.
However, the students get to witness all the matches conducted in their state without any exam tension.
