How much should you walk in a day to lose weight?  Walking is not the only thing that you should do to put down your weight. But if you are really stuck in your busy routines and are not a fan of going to a gym, then running is an excellent way to put down your weight. Running might help you lose weight faster but it can strain your body.

The biggest myth that people believe is that decreasing the amount of food intake will help you lose weight. What happens is your body gets weaker and thinner. That is not what is expected because along with losing weight, you shouldn’t lose your immunity and energy, which is in fact more important. Therefore instead of eating less, you should eat healthily. Most of the weight gain is due to the intake of lots of junk and unhealthy food. If you switch to eating better food, you will automatically see a decrease in weight.

To lose 1 kilo of fat every week you are required to burn 3500 calories, i.e. an average of 500 calories every day. To begin running, you should start small. Start with running three days a week for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Do not stress your body. You know your body well, accordingly plan your schedule.

Once you are able to manage 30mins without taking a break then, you can run for a mile at a fast pace and then return to jog for recovery. In the beginning, run for three minutes at a fast pace followed by two minutes of the recovery period. Extra energy is required for interval training and adding recovery period will help you to increase your speed and you will be able to burn more calories. Now, you have promoted yourself from a rookie to a PRO. Adding a long run in your schedule will boost your heart and lungs.
