Well, What a scenes at the Feroshah Kotla! The Super King took over Delhi Capitals. The Young Skipper, Shreyas Iyer was sighted taking some cricketing tips by the opposition captain, the Legend, MS Dhoni. Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bat first. When asked, MS said if he had won the toss he would most probably bowl first. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings for Delhi Capitals. They were off to a great start, it was seen that Prithvi Shaw was middling the new-ball very well but he fell as a prey to a slower delivery bowled by Deepak Chahar.
Skipper, Shreyas Iyer paced his innings slowly and was taking his time in the middle to adapt to the conditions. MS bought in Imran Tahir after the power play and he could deliver a wicket to his team. Rishab Pant came in as a No.4 batsman for Delhi Capitals. DJ Bravo was bought into the attack and he could send pant back to the dug-out in the 4th ball of his spell. Later, Shikhar played a vital role in taking his team to 140 run mark. They managed to put 147 runs on the board.
Chennai Super Kings was asked to chase 147 runs in 120 balls. For a team like the kings it is a gettable target. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu opened the innings for the kings. Rayudu was picked at the early stage of the match. Shane Watson came back in form and totally conquered the innings by scoring 44 runs in 26 balls. Raina and Kedar Jadhav complemented each other throughout the innings. The crowd at Feroshah Kotla was lit when they saw Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the crease. As usual he gave the finishing touch.
