Central Government To Launch National Testing Agency Soon
To come up with a revolution in the education system, the Union Resource Development Minister Prakash Javedekar has made an announcement about a specialized agency, which deals and conducts the entrance examination to get admission into all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), other engineering colleges and UGC-NET.
Addressing the media, he stated that a new platform is going to get launched by next month and it offers up to 2000 online courses to the interested candidates. Prakash said that like announced in the Union Budget, National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct all these exams. Because CBSE is not supposed to hold and these exams are like overburden on CBSE officials.
This National Testing Agency may also give relief to IITs and AICTE, which are currently conducting exams to get admission in the engineering colleges across India. He said that the outline of this agency and other details would be announced soon.
By next month, the government is going to start ‘Swayam-MOOCS.’ It is a platform to provide as many as 2000 new online courses to the students. These are Massive Online Open Courses and the main aim to take up this initiative is to provide education to students anytime and anywhere.
In coming days, an awareness program will be made by the officials regarding the Swayam and DTH channels. It is mainly to make these courses more acceptable by the stakeholders. This MOOCS will fall in the lines of open and distance learning (ODL), which helps to provide better education and with perfect knowledge structures for the candidates.
