The Hollywood stars gathered to honor ten everyday citizens making a significant mark in other people’s lives in New York. The event, 11th Annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute was hosted by ABC’s Kelly Ripa and CNN’s Anderson Cooper. The venue for the event was the American Museum of Natural History.
Kelly brought her beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Lola Consuelos, along with her for the event. Both the mother and daughter duo were looking stunning. While Kelly wore a long-sleeved, sequin-covered LBD and matching black pumps, Lola adorned a bubblegum-hued sweater dress in pink with button detailing and teamed it up with pointy nude pumps and gold jewelry. Lola was seen with Kelly earlier in May also when both walked the red carpet together at the 2017 New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
There was another mother-daughter duo present at the event. It was that of Diane Lane and her 24-year-old writer daughter, Eleanor Lambert. Other celebrities who walked the red carpet included Sterling K. Brown with wife Ryan Michelle Bathe, Christopher Meloni, Christian Bale, Alfre Woodard, Amber Tamblyn, Andra Day, Gaten Matarazzo, and Nickelodeon alum Isabela Moner.
To honor the work of 10 heroes from everyday lives, a total of $10,000 were given cash prizes. These prizes were given for their efforts in various fields that helped in improving the lives of fellow citizens in multiple ways. Amy Wright won the CNN Hero of the Year honor for her work. She has been working with adults and children suffering from various physical and intellectual disabilities. For her commendable work, she was granted an extra $100,000.
