Hurricane Irma most powerful storm ever battered through north east Caribbean island and now moves to Florida, Georgia, Us the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Irma is an incredibly powerful tropical cyclone currently impacting western Africa and began towards the Caribbean Sea. Presently there is warning that it will flow to Florida Georgia and few other islands. Irma became storm on August 30, and due to heavy winds, it was classified as a hurricane on August 31. Since then, it has absorbed strength and moisture from warm Atlantic Ocean waters.
According to US National Hurricane center, it was analyzed that, on Monday the storm from category three hurricane moved to Category 5 hurricane and made landfall, devastating Texas with extensive flooding. Later on Wednesday a terrible storm hit northeastern Caribbean islands and moved towards Barbuda and St.Martin.
Reported that wide spread damage to homes, properties, and infrastructure on these and other islands. Prime minister of Barbuda and Antigua said: “is utterly destroyed — 90 percent at least.”
“Some fluctuations in intensity are likely during the next day or two, but Irma is forecast to remain a powerful category 4 or 5 hurricanes during the next couple of days” on Tuesday morning NHC said in a public advisory. Irma is “an extremely dangerous” hurricane and suggests that “preparations should be rushed to completion in the storm warning area.”
Now, warning areas include Us Virgin Island, Puerto Rico where the storm can hit very high. There are fears that storm could damage the power supplies for few months. Today, Irma is expecting to be near Turks and Caicos and Bahamas. All of these islands can expect massive category five hurricane, Irma.
