Rajasthan Royals made a great back after going through a string of losses. Rajasthan Royals had to face Kolkata Night Riders at Eden Park, Kolkata. It is very sad to know that Kolkata Night riders have lost 6 games in a row even though they have a star Performer like Andrew Russell. They were way ahead in the table during their first few matches and some combinations back-fired Captain Dinesh Karthik.

Having said that the pitch and the conditions had lot to do and the dew was a horrible part of Eden Park. Steve Smith, skipper of Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sunil Narine, Trinidadian was not included in the playing eleven. Did it cost the team? Yes, certainly his role of Pinch Hitting was missed in the yesterday’s match. Two early wickets definitely costed the team. Varun Aaron was sprinting in with those quicker deliveries and delivering right on the wicket. It was very difficult for the youngster Shubham Gill to face his balls as the Bowlers was pitching into the difficult slots. Aaron managed to pick two much needed wickets on his very first match of this season. Dinesh Karthik had lot to prove for his franchise and his team; he managed to pull off an excellent innings wherein he scored 97 runs in 50 balls. Jos Butler was supposed to be a showman for the Rajasthan Royals. The coach said that Jos Butler has gone to spend a quality time with his family and his new born. Once again former captain Ajinkya Rahane played his part. Royals started off well considering the pitch and the conditions. Riyan Parag was absolutely brilliant with his bat last night.
