He scored his debut double century off just 281 balls. He passed his previous highest first-class score of 197 against Pak-based Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited SNGPL.

After passing the 150 run barrier with a four, he broke the record of Rahul Dravid becoming the highest scoring Indian Captain in WI.

The day one of the first test between India and West indies belongs to Virat Kohli, the team India test captain has scored an scintillating century and remains unbeaten on 143*  in the first test match as the part of WI vs IND series 2016.

He led the team’s score board with his aggressiveness and master piece batting. He was accompanied by Shikhar Dhawan who scored an good half century. Earlier Kohli won the toss and chosen to bat first. Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan had opened the innings,Vijay and one down batsman Pujara fell down cheaply.Both Virat and Shikhar stopped the tumbling of wickets by playing defense.

The Aggressive Young Captain of Team India scored his 12th hundred and it is the ninth hundred outside India and as India’s Skipper, this is the fifth hundred in the longer form of cricket.

As a part of test Series India tour of West Indies 2016, today the first test match will be held between the both teams at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, and Antigua. As per the local time the match is going to start at 7:30 PM IST

Once we get the steady progression regarding improvement, I think we’ll move forward.”

Team India Test Captain Virat Kohli says “Basically, that’s been the primary motive of the team, which we go with horses for courses. We see the conditions and the way the pitch is going to behave, (and then) we pick the best eleven, especially the bowling department. We specialise in choosing people according to the way, and the wicket is going to behave, maybe on the third and fourth day as well. So you need to keep everything in consideration and yeah it’s always a good thing to have a lot of options, because you pick the best side according to the conditions we are playing in.”
