Ghostbusters fails to overtake ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ at box office

The Comedy, Fantasy and the scientific film Ghostbusters has released on 15 July 2016. This movie failed to overcome the collections of the movie Secret Life of Pets collection at the American Box Office.

Sony’s latest film all- female Ghostbusters opened in the second position at the box office over the weekend with $46 million in 3,962 theatres, and the start is considering the movie’s sizeable budget.

The movie “The Secret Life of Pets” is on the top easily even this is the second weekend after the release of the film. This movie has declined 52% to $50.6 million from 4,381 locations for a total of $203.2 million till Sunday. From the first nine markets in early global market the Illumination Entertainment and Universal release has earned $50.8 million and as per the global total, they earned a total of $254 million.

The animated movie is offering to continue to rule all the way. The film from the Fox entertainment, Ice Age: Collision Course topped the foreign box office chart with the total of $53.5 million from 51 markets. The new openings included with $7.2 million in France and $5.2 million in the United Kingdom. So far the total collections for this movie internationally are at $127 million in advance when compared with domestic launch on Friday.

The Secret Life of Pets is the new box office champion, and it finally knocked out the top position of the Finding Dory, which is running successfully after three weeks of the release.

The movie released in the last week on July 8, 2016, across the world from the Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures. The genre of this film is Comedy and Animation, and so far this has reached 6.8 rating out of 10 in the IMDB. The movie has shattered the expectations and reached the massive openings with $103.2 Million. These collections are the first three-day debut, and this film is the sixth biggest opening in the animated films of all time in the US theatres.

Finding Dory is currently running with the highest grossing film of 2016 in the United States with $422.5 million. In this weekend Finding, Dory is collected $20.3 million in U.S. theatres. This is the highest-grossing animated film of all the time (Domestically) for The Walt Disney Company.

The Animated movie depicts an unforgettable journey she probably won’t remember. The blue tang fish Dory is a wide-eyed suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds. The only thing she could remember is that she got separated from her parents when she was a child.
