A few days we came across the online fraud of Social Trade website which duped Rs. 3700 crore from 7 lakh people. The newest in the scam series, Noida-based Web Works Link Private Limited caught for dumping Rs. 500 crore from 2 lakh people.

The Web Works online scam is similar to Social Trade where people are asked to invest the money between Rs. 5750 to Rs. 50,000. Individuals who pay the amount given the links and per click they can earn Rs. 5 to 7 as promised. Afterwards, users asked to add more people under them, and this is not only illegal but also unethical.

The FIR filed by the individual named Amit Kishore Jain against the Web Works Company and the action would soon take against them by the Special Task Force specially assigned for the task. The case has filed against the insurance company in the Noida sector 20.

Amit Kishore said, “This Company is fooling people using the modus operandi of click advertisement. I had invested Rs 1,72,500 using three IDs. Initially, they returned some money. But since January, I have received nothing. The company officials even asked me to open Bitcoin accounts, which are not legal in India. They then informed me that there would be no transaction in Indian currency, starting February 1.”

Another investor said that he invested Rs. 37,000 in the scam and after receiving the initial payments he doesn’t receive any income. However, the company refuted this news and one of the employees said that they are busy in sorting the bank accounts.

According to the reports, Web Works Company shutting down the operations till 20th April due to changes in the banking system. Surprisingly, two famous Bollywood stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Shahrukh Khan are found endorsing and advertising the scam. Before investing money, people have to aware of these online scams.
