Mark Zuckerberg Introduces Jarvis AI System to the World

Facebook CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg has introduced “Jarvis”, an Artificial Intelligence Assistant to the world after setting up in his house. With this Jarvis Project, Zuckerberg wants to control everything in his house from lights to music, to the temperature. He also operates his house front gate for family and friends by recognizing their faces.

Mark first ever project has tested in his house itself. However, to show his project to the world, Mark Zuckerberg has released a video in which his family is interacting with Jarvis AI system to function their daily tasks makes life more easy and more tech oriented.

How Jarvis AI Work?

Jarvis has a capability of recognising language and faces. Natural language processing and facial recognition capabilities were erected into Jarvis AI system, and it understands spoken, or text commands and identifies who is issuing them.

The built-in software has a capability of recognising the guest at the door, operates all the electronic items in the house and is capable of doing a thing on request. Mark Zuckerberg said, “There is one thing that was much more complex than I expected was simply connecting and communicating with all of the different systems in my home.”

Jarvis Wouldn’t only need devices in homes to be linked to the internet; they would have to run on command standards.

However, Mark Zuckerberg faced so many problems while teasing his Jarvis Project. He observed one problem that the command given by him was executed, but when tested by his wife, it gave a different response. The Same type of problems would arise when asking for music to be played by without the AI.

He said, “At some point, I just ask Jarvis to play me some music, and by looking at my past listening patterns, it mostly pins something I had to want to hear.”

Zuckerberg said he lean towards to text his Jarvis using a ‘bot’ which is built for Facebook messenger service instead of speaking to it, mostly it won’t disturb people around him. The biggest thing faced by Facebook CEO was to write code for a different system that speaks different languages. In my house we use a Creston system for lights, thermostat and doors, a Sonos system with Spotify for music, a Samsung TV, a Nest cam for Max, and of course my work is connected to Facebook’s systems. I had to converse Engineer APIs for some of these to even get to the point where I could give a command from my computer to turn the lights on or get a song to play,” he added.

The voice for Jarvis AI Assistant is given by Morgan Freeman which is a nice thing. Zuckerberg also explained the need to make this system more collaborative and coupled. The industry needs to develop common APIs and standards for the devices to talk to each other.

Finally, mark Zuckerberg concluded that he has previously expected that within 5-10 years we will have AI systems that are more accurate than people.
