Reliance Jio Users can Instantly Transfer Money Through JioChat

Upon announcement of the demonetisation, a lot of companies introduced and allows digital payments. If you are using the free services of Reliance Jio, you must come across two options, i.e., JioChat and JioMoney. To facilitate the process of transferring money, Reliance Jio introduced a new method which makes easier to the users to e-transfer money.

JioChat is similar to Whatsapp and JioMoney is same as PayTm that can use for online transactions and other digital payments. If you are the Reliance Jio customer, you can now able to send money instantly via JioChat window.

UPI to be available offline to make digital payments

Reliance announced P2P payments on JioChat through JioMoney by considering the integration of services. Last year, FreeCharge launched the similar service to allow instant transfer of money between two people. HDFC Bank also introduced OnChat feature for transferring money through Facebook Messenger.

The company made an announcement about sending and receiving the money through JioChat. This feature allows the users to send money to contacts through integrated Reliance JioMoney wallet service. To send money through conversation

  • First, users need to have two apps, i.e., JioChat and JioMoney.
  • Users have to link the two apps by clicking on the link in payments section of JioMoney app to JioChat.
  • It will automatically fetch the OTP on Android phone, but the users have to enter it manually on their smartphone.
  • The two apps will link automatically through the password that you received upon confirmation.
  • To send money, open the chat window of person you want to send.
  • Next click on Rupee icon on the chat window to enter the amount.
  • Below the text box, JioMoney account balance will reflect.
  • Once you enter the amount tap on the send button and your transaction will complete.

Users have to note that this feature is available for use only between JioMoney users. Those who want to remove the account they can just go to the payment section. Next, click on the unlink account and then select the JioMoney account so that your account will be unlinked.

JioMoney to offer 10% cashback on Shopping to its Customers

Following the decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes in India have caused inconveniences and hardships for the common man. But the e-wallet platforms have to provide the offers to their customers. Reliance digital platform JioMoney has also joined in the list.

Digital Wallets like PayTm and FreeCharge has already witnessed a surge after the announcement of the controversial move. The Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Infocomm has come up with the cashback offer, i.e., 10% cashback for its users through digital platform JioMoney. Customers can avail a 10% cashback with JioMoney on shopping at Reliance Fresh and Reliance Smart stores.

JioMoney is the digital application developed by the Reliance Infocomm which is used to pay utility bills, recharge mobile phones, online payment, transfer money to the bank and online shopping and many more features.

“Customers who essentially use cash for shopping can also avail the cashback by utilising the cash loading points inside each store to pay via JioMoney and earn the cashback of 10 percent on the total invoice. The cashback will be credited within two working days,” said by the officials.

The customers who shop with cash can also avail this 10% cashback by the procedure of money loading points added to your JioMoney, and also they can earn the cashback of 10 percent of total invoice. The cashback will be credited to the respective accounts.

Reliance Infocomm also allows the customers to transfer the loaded unused amount in the JioMoney to their bank accounts. “Users, however, can use the money loaded at over 50,000 online merchants and 70 plus billers. So essentially, the money will be utilised in due course in making cashless payments for utilities, bill payments, insurance payments, e-commerce transactions and offline store payments,” said the source.

The Reliance Jio rivals, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular, are expected to see a 45-50% growth in their respective mobile wallet transactions.

IRCTC is introducing a new method for booking unreserved tickets through e-wallets like JioMoney, PayTm, and Airtel Money soon. In a bid to control the rush at booking counters, IRCTC has come up with this new announcement and people can book the railway tickets through e-wallets.

“Unreserved ticketing forms a huge chunk of the Railways’ total ticket sale in a day, and we want to tap this sector through e-commerce,” said a senior Railway Ministry official.

According to the reports, many top mobile wallet companies are keen to team up with the Indian Railways. Currently, many mobile wallet companies are already operating for cinema tickets, booking taxies and other services.

By joining in the Indian Railways will offer a significant scope for the private companies. The railways will not bear any cost for booking through e-wallets. Instead, the private mobile companies will get the commission for one ticket those who book through respective e-wallets.

The officials said that this move would be a win-win proposition for the Indian Railways and also for the e-wallet companies. So from now onwards, people can book their ticket through e-wallets such PayTm, Airtel Money, and JioMoney.

Around 23 million passengers will travel every day, and out of them six percent are reserved category and the rest travel in unreserved boogies. As a part of ‘Digital India’ mission, the railways are planning to expand the e-wallet system operational from next year throughout the country.
