Delete 42 Chinese Mobile Apps from Smartphones: IB Warns Indian Soldiers on China Border

In a recent development, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) has asked the has asked the Indian army troops to delete some Chinese apps from their smartphones. According to the reports Army posted at the international border along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) facing China have received the instructions from higher authorities.

The reports suggest that Authorities warned the soldiers that China might Snoop the activities of the army using these apps. 42 mobile applications Including popular apps like UC Browser, WeChat, Truecaller, ShareIT, and format their smartphones with immediate effect smartphones due to data security implications.

“Use of these apps by our personnel can be detrimental to…national security,” a report said citing sources.

According to sources “The personnel are expected to maintain the security of their phones, whether official or personal, as well as computers. Such alerts and advisories, especially about Chinese-origin mobile apps as well as electronic devices, are issued from time to time”

BHEL Launches Remote-Controlled Weapons Station

Public sector defense electronics major, Bharat Electronics Limited (BHEL) on Tuesday launched remote controlled weapon station (RCWS) for the Indian Army’s Arjun tanks at Aero India, an official said.

“The RCWS is an improvised version of the manually operated air defence gun. It enables the soldier to aim and fire at aerial targets from the safe interiors of the battle tank. Presently, the 120.7 mm guns of all tanks are manually operated,” a statement said.

Aero India Off to High-Flying Start in Bengaluru

The design and development of this system has been by the BHEL on its own, the official said in the statement. “RCWS integrated on MBT (Arjun) Mk II has successfully completed tank integration and firing trials in September 2015,” it added.

Arjun Mk II is an upgraded version of the Arjun MBT which is at present being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It can be mounted on the Armed Repair and Recovery Vehicle (ARRV) and fast moving boats of the Indian Coast Guard.

The system comprised of automatic firing system, 2 axis self-stabilised platform, day camera and night vision devices and automatic target tracking.

It allows the operator to control the gun and sight from the operating console and joy stick from inside the turret away from the harms way.  The system has a provision for the operator to do automatic loading and firing of the gun.

Indian Army Celebrates Vijay Diwas and Pays Homage to 1971 Indo-Pak War Brave Hearts

Indian Army is today celebrating the 45th anniversary of Vijay Diwas. Vijay Diwas has memorialized every December 16 in India, as it marks Indian Military win over Pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pak war. Many brave hearts in Indian Army died in the Indo-Pakistan war which is said to be the biggest war after World War II.

The end of the war resulted in the one-sided and total surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh.

To remember the memories and paying tributes to the brave Jawans who sacrificed their lives for the nation, Indian Army is today celebrating Vijay Diwas in Jammu.

Army Representative Colonel SD Goswami said that the 44th Anniversary of the event was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm at the Northern Command Headquarters. “A huge number of VIPs, ex-servicemen and service personnel take part in the celebrations. Now, December 16 is celebrated as Vijay Diwas to remember India’s victory over Pakistan,” he added.

On December 16, 1971, the Chief of Pakistan Army forces, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi along with 93000 crowds surrendered to the similar forces consists of Indian Army and MuktiBahini, led by General Jagjit Singh Aurora in Dhaka after their defeat in the war. This is said to be the largest military surrender after World War II.

Indian Army Denies Pakistan’s Statement of Killing 11 Indian Soldiers at LoC

Pakistan Army released an open statement about killing of 11 Indian Soldiers on 14 November firings. They claimed that their troops killed 11 Indian soldiers in shootings on Monday at Line of Control (LoC). However, Indian Army rejected the statement which has given by Pakistan Army of Killing 11 Indian soldiers at LoC.

Northern Command has tweeted last night regarding this. They said there were no causalities due to firing by Pakistan on this month 14, 15 and 16 dates. The statement of killing 11 Indian Soldiers was false.

Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, in a casual chat with reporters in Islamabad on Wednesday, claimed that “we killed at least 11 Indian soldiers on November 14 at Line of Control.”
