Accepting Indian PM Modi Invitation Ivanka Trump is going to attend the GES in November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the United States in June invited Ivanka to be a part of Global Entrepreneur Summit which is going to happen in India this year.
Ivanka took to twitter to thank Modi for his invite,” Thank you Prime Minister Modi for inviting me to lead the U.S. delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in India this fall.” Regarding this invitation, Mr. Trump said,” And I believe she has accepted.”
Ivanka Trump is an American businesswoman and former fashion model. She also assists her father, Donald Trump. Global Entrepreneur Summit is going to happen in Hyderabad in the last week of November. For the first time, GES event is held in India. Hyderabad was chosen among other choices like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru due to its infrastructure for hosting the large meeting and international crowd. The GES was started by Former American President Barack Obama.
The NITI Aayog agency is assigned to organize the event along with Ministry of External Affairs and Government of Andhra Pradesh. According to few sources, this event is significant for bilateral ties between the United States and India as the issue of H-1B visas raised during the joint statement in June.
The joint statement stated, “Applauding the entrepreneurship and innovation of Indians and Indian-Americans that have directly benefitted both nations, and President Trump welcomed India’s formal entry into the International Expedited Traveler Initiative to facilitate closer business and educational ties between the citizens of India and the United States,.”
GES aims to showcase entrepreneurs and investors across the world by creating new opportunities. The summit typically conducts workshops, competitions, talks, panels, Mentoring and networking sessions to all the participants which help their enterprises grow by acquiring skill and opportunities.
