Smart Glasses Automatically Focus on What You Looking at

Upon wearing a pair eyeglasses that having a lens or constantly changing the reading glasses may soon be over. Smart glasses are one of the latest technology trends that were developed by the scientists. The most interesting highlight of these is, it automatically focuses on the object of what person is seeing.

Whether the object is far or close, these Smart glasses focus automatically and let the user view more clearly. The human eye has a lens that adjusts the focus on what person is seeing. But as the person’s age increasing the ability to focus will gradually decrease. Due to this most of all the people wear reading glasses or bifocals.

However, with the recent, invent of Smart glasses may become the solution for the eye-site problems. The glasses developed by researchers at the University of Utah in the United States. They contain lenses that are made up of glycerin, a thick colourless liquid which enclosed by thick rubber-fiber on front and back.

Imagine Smart Augmented Reality Glasses

The rear membrane on each lens connected with the series of three mechanical actuators that pushes the membrane back and forth. It changes the curvature of the liquid lens and focal length between eye and lens.

“Most people who get reading glasses have to put them on and take them off all the time. You don’t have to do that anymore. You put these on, and it’s always clear,” said Carlos Mastrangelo, computer engineering professor at Utah.

According to the researchers, when a person wears Smart glasses and looks at an object the meter automatically measures the distance. And then tells the actuators how to curve the lens. If the wearer sees the object that is closer, the distance meter readjusts and shows the actuators to reshape the lens for far sight.

The lenses of these Smart glasses can change the focus from one object to another in just 14 milliseconds. A rechargeable battery embedded in the frames can charge more than 24hours as per charge. Moreover, the glasses run through the provided smartphone apps.

Smart glasses invented by the group which also include graduate teacher Aishwaryadev Banerjee. In the bridge of glasses, the distance meter placed which measures the distance via pulses of infrared light. Before putting them for the first time, wearers have to input their eyeglasses prescription into one of the smartphone apps. And then it calibrates the lenses via Bluetooth automatically.

Nikon introduces wireless tethering feature, Snapbridge in its new DSLR D500

Nikon’s top line DSLR, D500 launched at CES back in January hits stores. This excellent camera offering in-depth manual controls are capable of shooting 10 frames per second and capturing 4K video. Snapbridge is the unique feature of the D500 which Nikon claims to be the first camera with it.

The feature is Nikon’s way of making use of Bluetooth Low Energy to establish an always active connection between your smartphone and camera. The fact is that Snapbridge brings a solution for connecting your phone to a camera which makes other ways feel outdated. It is reliable and much faster than methods used by regular camera makers.

The connection process is a bit buggy at an initial stage, and you have to unpair and repair the two devices if the connection with the phone is lost. But Snapbrige works all of the time and is the best possible way to access quickly share, and edit photos from a full-size camera.

Smartphones had taken over the camera in a huge way over the last half decade. Camera makers are making an attempt to built the bridge between their products and smartphones. Eye-Fi card, an SD card with a small wireless radio is one of the earliest manifestations which let you transfer photos from card to phone.

Nikon has done the same with Snapbridge in many ways. You can access the photos captured by the Nikon device on your smartphone through the Snapbridge app. The whole process essentially enables tethering the camera to your smartphone.

The app also features a mode which automatically lets the camera send those 2-megapixel versions of every photo you take.

People love what smartphones offers at present day, but still need if carrying more capable camera exists. Snapbridge is a kind of feature which helps in breaking down all the steps which separate those two sides of the equation. Snapbridge is one flagship feature in D500’s experience which forces other users to make a shift to Nikon.

Password sent via Human body is Safer than Air

Research and development is a continuous process. As a part of the research, many technology advancements have come into reality. Data security is the most priority for all. Hackers are also in a continuous process to breach the security levels. The fight between security and its breaching is making the conflict very challenging for both in their own ways.

A team of researchers at University of Washington (UW) in the US has developed a new technology which can transmit the passwords through human body between the devices. The research team also includes some Indians. Shyam Gollakota is the assistant professor for the project.

Till date Fingerprint sensors and other input devices were used to transmit the data through most secured ways. The mobile devices, Laptops and other input devices and scanners save the passwords in a digital manner.

Dashlane Will Work With Google to Enhance and Simplify Your Password Security

The data is normally saved in the form of passwords, and when needed it is revealed through the air. The medium of data transfers is normally through WiFi or Bluetooth technologies. But there is always a chance of data security breach. To overcome such chances the latest innovation has used the human body as the safest method of data transmission.

For example, a digitally locked door should be opened. The password is stored for opening in the mobile with a fingerprint scanner. Then for opening the locked door, the mobile is used to open. Just touch the door that is to be opened and on the other hand hold the mobile and place the finger on the fingerprint scanner. The password will be transmitted through the body from the mobile to the door, and the password will open the door.

Google’s Plan to Outnumber Traditional Passwords by 2017 using “Trust API”

This is how the body of a human acts. The experiment is conducted on various devices. Almost 10 different subjects were tested the rate of success. 50 bits/sec on laptop touchpads and 25 bits/sec with fingerprint sensors is the time taken as per the results of the conducted experiments. This time is the traveling time through the human body from the device to the receiver.

Apple is Planning to Launch Wireless Earbuds in September

Apple is planning to launch a pair of wireless earbuds packed with the extended battery life, says the sources. According to the reports, the most reliable time for unveiling the new product is in September as Apple already preparing to showcase their new generation iPhones at the beginning of the month.

Rumors have surfaced for some time that the latest generation iPhones will ignore the 3.5mm headphone jack. These wireless earbuds are yet to receive a name which has been in the development phase for few years’ sources cited by the Forbes.

Apple Struggles in India: Do you know 97% in INDIA are Android Users

The major challenge manufacturers are facing is when crafting the wireless earbuds is the same with all the wearable devices: battery capacity. Reports say that recently Apple will employ technology from the Pass if Semiconductor which is great in the power efficient chipsets which Apple bought three years ago.

This is little surprise that Apple is building a set of Bluetooth-capable headphones and on the other hand all the major tech companies are designing the side projects which may or may not reach the market or get embedded into the main products of the enterprise.  Whatever Apple is using the in-house technology for developing the new device which is entirely plausible.

Apple Acquires Turi, a Fast, Scalable Machine Learning Platform and AI Startup

Apple usually tries to buy the advanced components from the best quality suppliers like Qualcomm. When the thing are not going properly from the outside the enterprise, then Apple assigns its resources to work and asks their engineering team to build the components.

When we think about the wireless earbuds, Apple already dipped into this product class earlier. Apple already has a lot of experience and know how to cramming the wireless audio technology in the little designs. The beats models which are massively popular and the iPhone Bluetooth headsets are such examples.

“If the headphone jack is removed, we estimate that shift to Bluetooth to become more accelerated,” says Ben Arnold, an analyst with NPD.
