Microsoft to Add Wheelchair Option To Xbox Avatars

We have a good news for Physically disabled gamers who love playing on Xbox one. Microsoft Corporation has finally announced that it is adding wheelchair options for its Xbox avatars. The company’s Xbox head, Phil Spencer was questioned on Twitter regarding disabled avatars using wheelchairs, so in response to the same, he said the company was thinking about something like this.

Soon after that Mike Ybarra, head of the Windows and Xbox Program confirmed that the wheelchair option by posting pictures of two avatars - a man and woman straddled in Xbox One-themed wheelchairs. The availability of the option is not yet announced but in the month of June, it was announced that Xbox would receive a major update in August. So, it is expected around the launch of the new Xbox One S.

Although there were many positive responses to Ybarra’s post, complementing Microsoft on its move towards diversity, many pointed out that the wheelchairs were old-fashioned and ugly. One of the Xbox lovers tweeted, “That’s like an old person hospital chair,” while another person asked the company “Please don’t make us use ugly chairs.”

Few Xbox fans have sent pictures of themselves sitting in their advanced wheelchairs just to make the Firm understand the modern look which they are expecting. Microsoft is being accused of not responding to the comments that followed the post. Well, Microsoft has recently stated in a blog post, “enabling all types of gamers to play as they want, in the way they want. We need to challenge all of our perceptions.”

Looking back Microsoft first introduced Xbox avatars on Xbox 360 in the year 2008. It supported customization of avatars with a variety of hairstyles, clothes and accessories which also includes branded content from avatar and other stores.

‘Avatar’ Multiplayer Game Now On Your Mobile

An Interactive Entertainment Company, Kabam now collaborates with the Lightstrom Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Film to construct “A massively multiplayer mobile strategy game” based on the James Cameron’s Sci-fi movie Avatar.

The new mobile strategic game is debuted before the Avatar sequel 2 which is presently set to release for 2018. The mobile game will combine the characters and environment from the film with the innovative game features and design.

Kent Wakeford, COO at Kabam explains that, “the idea beyond the game is to extend the big screen and create an experience that will be true to what James Cameron did in making the most technologically advanced film of its time.”

Wakeford also announced that Kabam plans to update the game continuously with the release of the Avatar sequels scheduled to be release in December 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023.

Jon Landau, Avatar producer and COO of Lightstorm Entertainment in a statement said, “Kabam has an excellent reputation for building compelling mobile games that explore detailed worlds, which makes them an ideal partner for our franchise.”

“I think science fiction can be a great metaphor for the world in which we live,” added Jon Landau. “As people play this game, I want them to have choices, just like they have in life. The choices you make in a game create different experiences for you — some for the better, some for the worse. It’s about engaging people in this world but never losing sight of the ethos of ‘Avatar.'”

World popular mobile games like Star-Wars, Marvel, Hobbit, Avengers, Fast & Furious are the games released earlier by Kabam. The average cost of the Kabam’s previous titles was $14 million and it was explained by Wakeford, that the budget of the new Avatar mobile game is estimated to more than the older games.

Looking back to the first Avatar film, it was released in the year 2009 and it still holds the record as the highest-grossing film in the world which collected over $2.8 billion. According to NBCNewYork news, Walt Disney World is set to open an “Avatar”-themed land in 2017, while Dark Horse Comics is working on an “Avatar” series.

4 Avatar sequels confirmed by James Cameron

James Cameron has announced the sequel to his Adventure fantasy blockbuster Avatar movie. He made this statement when speaking at CinemaCon on Thursday. Avatar was released worldwide in the year 2009 and changed the things regarding the CGI. Avatar 2 is going to release its sequel in the year 2018.

Total four sequels are planned by James Cameron and made an official announcement. To our surprise, Cameron has revealed the release dates of four sequels. Cameron said “We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic process,”

For the next three Avatar sequels Cameron in going to work with different writers for each film.  These sequel films are going to complete in next seven years. Every sequel film is going to release on the Christmas of respective release year. All follows the action of the first Sci-Fi foray into Pandora.

The writer Darren Franich has tweeted about the Avatar film as ““Avatar 2″ coming Christmas 2018, “Avatar 3” Christmas 2020, “Avatar 4” Christmas 2022, “Avatar 5” Christmas 2023. So says James Cameron.”

Sigourney Weaver has confirmed that her character Grace Augustine will be in the three sequels and no further information is available regarding the acting in the fifth film.

“So far, the art I’m seeing, is in pure imagination, really far beyond the first movie. It’s going to be a truly epic saga,” Cameron shared.

Cameron has revealed that each film varies from each other, but this could create a composite of an epic saga. Some filmmaker has admitted that Cameron has decided to create the sequel in response to a tweet made by a fan saying that his first movie had failed to make the big impression on audience regardless of making lot of money. Cameron talked with his crew about the feedback and examined how they can face it. After a lot of new and creative ideas, instead of taking one Cameron is planning to make four sequels.

There is the sequel to the Deadpool film which is in work now with Ryan Reynolds. This was confirmed by the 20th Century Fox executives, and the director of the movie is Tim Miller.
