Samsung Won the Fight in US Supreme Court in $399 Million Patent Appeal

The US Supreme Court has sided with Samsung over the $399 million patent award on copying Apple’s iPhone design, later sent the case back to the lower court. During this, the court is sided with Samsung and saying that the company does not have to pay the entire profit from the sales of the disputed products.

The court declared that 8-0 which Samsung is not required to make the penalty for the entire profits from their smartphones for breaching on the design components.

The 11-page ruling observes that the $399 million penalty is the one element of the patent violation case which was inappropriate. This represents “Samsung’s entire profit from the sale of its infringing smartphones” for copying the Apple iPhone’s “rectangular front face with rounded edges and a grid of colourful icons on a black screen.”

Apple provides you the privilege to donate for HIV and AIDS treatment with its Pay transactions. Starting this December 1, each purchase of iOS game and RED accessories contribute towards prevention and treatment of the disease.

As the tech giant does every year over a decade, the Apple RED campaign raises money for the Global Fund to fight against AIDS. The campaign continues this week with proceeds from sales of devices, games and even exclusive albums.

Apple is the largest corporate supporter of RED found back in 2006. The campaign provides antiretroviral treatment to millions of people living with HIV and AIDS. Apple has contributed over $120 million in the last decade which helped to reduce 1200 to 400 babies a day born with HIV.

“400 a day is obviously still 400 too many, but we are on target to have an AIDS-free generation in 2020,” says, Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple has announced the launch of MacBook Pro 2016 back in October. The new MacBook Pro comes with the refreshed function key, is now ‘Retina-quality’ multi-touch display known as the Touch Bar. Even after its launch globally, Apple rolled out the stock MacBook Pro 2016 in India. Now, the company has announced the availability of Touch Bar variant in India.

The new MacBook Pro 2016 with Touch Bar variant is now available in selected dealers and is priced at Rs.1,55,900. IT Net Infocomm, An Apple Reseller in Kerala announced the availability of new 13-inch and 15-inch Touch Bar variants. While the 15-inch is priced at Rs.2,05,900.
