Hyundai has launched new 2017 Xcent facelift after 3 years of its earlier Xcent. The compact sedan was unveiled at an introductory price of Rs. 5.38 lakh for petrol variant and Rs. 6.28 lakh for the diesel variant. This latest Hyundai Xcent facelift notes upgrade over its predecessor in the form of new Grand i10.
To begin with, new Xcent get’s Hyundai’s signature Cascade design grille, new bumper with fog lamps and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL). You’ll observe a two-tone bumper design on the rear. The reflectors and the large chrome strip on the rear give the car much wider stance.
Hyundai Xcent facelift remains the same side profile with the new addition of new diamond cut alloy wheels and a segment first shark fin antenna.
For petrol variant, the 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers 83 PS of power and 11.6 kgm of torque. New 1.2-litre diesel unit delivers 75 PS of power is equipped for diesel trim and churns out 19.4 kgm of torque. Hyundai claims the petrol variants offers a fuel economy about 20.14 Kmpl and the diesel engine provides 25.4 kmpl.
Transmission duties are assigned to a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed auto transmission. However, auto transmission is only available for petrol engine variants. You don’t observe any major changes in the interior except the two tones beige layout.
You’ll find an additional mobile phone dock which comes with built-in charging ports. On infotainment section, Hyundai Xcent gets a 7-inch touchscreen unit with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink Navigation support. The manufacturer announced that the new Xcent would come with dual airbags as standard features across all variants.
