German carmaker Audi is gearing up for its fourth launch in India this year. New 2017 Audi A3 facelift will feature more elements from its A4 sedan and a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol. The Audi A3 facelift launch in India gets a luxury brand to Indian users in a price range between Rs.25 lakhs to Rs.30 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The design of the A3 facelift looks more athletic and comes with a good range of features. The launch event has addressed Former Indian Captain Ravi Shastri and Bollywood actor Nimrat Kaur and few others.
Discussing Audi A3 facelift specs, the car gets larger hexagonal grille, new distinctive LED headlamps, and new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear profile of 2017 Audi A3 packs a new tail lamp cluster, which now has got refreshed LED lighting pattern. A3 facelift equips few new features like wireless charging, the signature stick-out infotainment display with navigation, and a reverse camera.
On engine font, 2017 Audi A3 provides two engine variants to choose up on. The older 1.8-liter petrol engine is replaced by the 1.4-liter TFSI petrol engine borrowed from the new A4 sedan. The engine produces 148 bhp and churns out 250 Nm torque. The motor is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox.
For diesel trim, the car gets the existing four-cylinder 2.0 liter TDI turbocharged diesel engine with 139 bhp. The engine churns out 320 Nm torque and is mated to 6-speed DSG gearbox.
Audi intends to launch ten vehicles in India this year. A3 facelift is the fourth out of the 10 after the launch new A4 diesel, A3 Cabriolet, and Q3 facelift petrol.
“Audi has more than 60,000 customers in India. The first luxury car showroom opened in Gurgaon in 2008. In 2009, Audi launched its 24×7 roadside assistance program,“ says, Rahil Ansari, Head of Operations, Audi India.
2017 Audi A3 facelift price would be challenging for other players in the luxury car industry. New Audi will give tough competition to Benz-CLA and Skoda Superb to name few.
