Xiaomi has launched their new flagship models Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus, in the recent event held in Beijing on Tuesday. These are much-anticipated smartphones by the Xiaomi lovers and other users since a long time to get released. So it’s the end of the leaks and rumors of these two smartphones of Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi 5S is the smartphone that comes with the metal unibody design. These latest Xiaomi smartphones are sported with the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC. Another Variant from Xiaomi unveiled during the launch is Mi 5S Plus.

Xiaomi Mi 5S is the latest flagship smartphone from the Xiaomi which comes in 5.15-inch Full HD display 1080p curved glass display. The display resolution is with 600 nits brightness, 94.4% NTSC color gamut, 1500:1 contrast ratio. The dimensions of the phone are 145.6x 70.3x 8.25 mm, and this weighs about 145 grams which are light in weight to carry.
This phone is sported with the Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 chipset with 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Mi 5S runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) which comes pre-installed on the device along with the MIUI 8. The company is coming up with the bunch of new technologies this time.

Similar to the Apple iPhone’s feature, there is a pressure-sensitive display which is leveraging the Synaptics touch drivers and act according to the lighter touch or, the harder touch on the display glass. Then it will show up the things and content previews according to it. So far, this feature is only available on the Apple iPhones only and now it is going to get on some other handsets.
The phone has the Dual-SIM where both are Nano SIMs. The camera is sported with the 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. It has the aperture with f/2.0 along with the Sony IMX378 1/2.3-inch sensor. It is capable of recording the 4K video, and the Slo-mo videos can be recorded at 720 P with 120 FPS. These are commonly used in the Planar Touch scanners which are good for the security. It recognizes the details of your finger even it is wet, oily or dirty.
This supports the 4G VoLTE network support, and the other connecting features are Wi-Fi 802.11ac with dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, NFC, and GLONASS.

The 4GB variant with 128GB as internal storage comes is priced about 2299 yuan which is US$ 344 and Rs. 22,910 approx. The sale will go live starting from September 29, 2023 in China.
