The most awaited diesel version vehicle Volkswagen Ameo which many car lovers have been waiting. To fulfill their desire, Volkswagen Ameo finally was launched for sale with an initial price of Rs 6.33 lakh for the Trendline option. This goes up for the top end Highline Automatic variant with a price of Rs 9.32 lakh( all ex-showroom, Delhi).
Volkswagen Ameo comes with three primary trims namely Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline adding with some automatic options for the latter two. The features distribution to Petrol models is all similar.

This well build solid European Sedan is powered by an updated version of 1.5 liter TDI, with a 4-cylinder diesel engine that develops 108bhp and generates a peak torque of 250Nm. This diesel Ameo comes with VW’s tried and tested 7-speed DSG unit, unlike the petrol version. As expected earlier, Ameo includes a 5-speed manual gear system as transmission option.
The word ‘Ameo’ for the Volkswagen is derived from Latin word AMO means ‘I Love.’ Volkswagen Ameo is designed for India in Wolfsburg, Germany. The sedan shaped was specially designed for Indian customer. This Volkswagen is given the name Ameo in January 2016 and is unveiled in next month itself.

Now with the Ameo Diesel being introduced during the festivities, we have an opportunity to cater to a wider set of customers, thereby further expanding the Volkswagen family. Ameo diesel will be equipped with a 5-speed manual and our very popular 7-speed DSG gearbox transmission making it the most compelling proposition in the segment. ”
Mayer further talking about the safety features said, “ Volkswagen’s commitment to safety is not an option and is intrinsic to the brand’s DNA. Ameo Diesel comes equipped with standard ABS and driver and passenger airbags making it one of the safest cars in the market.”

Regarding the other features ‘Volkswagen Ameo’ Diesel is similar to Petrol variant like- rain sensing wipers, cruise control, all- four anti-pinch power windows, cooled glove box and more. For the gizmos, it comes has a touchscreen multimedia music system with mirror link, phone book/ SMS viewer, i-pod connectivity, Hill holds control and ESP, Volkswagen’s Climatronic.
Ameo comes with Blue Silk, Reflex Silver, Toffee Brown, Candy White, Carbon Steel colors.
