Design:
Just like Vivo V5 borrowed its design from iPhone 6, V5 Plus does the same. But this time, it chooses the updated iPhone 7. However, it isn’t boring to have this selfie beast in your hand. The antenna bands on the rear panel of the Vivo V5 have shifted to the top and bottom edges. On the front, you get a 2.5D display and a home button which also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. You’ll find a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom edge along with microUSB port and speaker grille.
Volume rockers and the power button is placement on the right edge remained regular. Left edge holds a SIM tray which provides space for two Nano SIM cards. Overall, Vivo V5 Plus design is great and perfect handy with a sleek look. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55 mm in dimensions and weighs around 156 grams.

The Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The 2.5D display has the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on it. The screen to body ratio is about 73.8% which is great without any extended bezels. Vivo providing IPS LCD display is a bit disappoint, where providing a Super AMOLED or AMOLED could have been better. However, the display quality of the device is quite good with accurate colors.
The viewing experience is quite satisfactory, but Vivo can’t claim the best. Besides Auto brightness mode, there are few other display options which enhance the viewing experience. Furthermore, Vivo V5 Plus has Eye protection mode which adjusts the screen color to relieve the visual exhaustion.

Vivo V5 Plus packs a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4B RAM. The chipset is mated with Adreno 506 GPU for smooth and enhanced graphics. Vivo Choosing the Snapdragon 625 chip results in great performance. As per the CPU upgrade, you’ll observe a much faster performance than Vivo V5. You don’t find any performance relates issues like lags or heating. Multi-tasking switching between the apps in the phone is fast and smooth.
Detailing other specs, Vivo V5 Plus offers 64GB internal storage which you cannot expand it any further. You get each connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The speaker quality on the phone is neither too loud nor unimpressive. The smartphone lacks behind if we compare its specs sheet to the like of OnePlus 3T and Moto Z Play. If you are a moderate user, the battery won’t run out of juice over a day. V5 Plus comes with ‘low power consumption‘ mode which extends the battery for a couple of hours on the same charge cycle. To be short, Vivo V5 Plus has a good battery but not the best when compared to its peers.

On the other hand, Vivo V5 Plus price in India is on the higher side. Such a high price for just selfie show is not acceptable in other cases. But if selfies are your cup of tea, you have no other options over the Vivo V5 Plus.
