Union public service commission (UPSC) which conducts civil services examination to recruit candidates into various civil services posts like IAS, IPS IRS, etc. is all set for the prelims exam. The government body is going to take civil services preliminary exam on 07 August 2023 across various centres in India. The applicants can download the UPSC admit card from the official website upsconline.nic.in

UPSC has issued a notification to fill up around 1079 vacancies in various fields of Indian administrative services (IAS), Indian Police services(IPS), Indian Foreign services (IFS) and other allied services. The exam will be conducted at 72 centres across the country. About 11.37 lakh applicants are about to test their chances to get into the premier services of the country. Civil services examination also called CSAT is conducted in three phases, prelims, mains and interview process. The candidates need to take the preliminary exam first which will be in the form of MCQs. Those who qualify in prelims need to take the second part Mains . This exam is a descriptive test. After mains, screening candidates will have to attend the interview.

This is considered to be one of the toughest exams to crack. Lakhs of aspirants give up their jobs and dedicate their time for UPSC civil services preparation. Of course, this step could be a justified one if they taste the success of the bureaucracy. After the interview process, the candidates will be allotted ranks based on the merit list.

Every year only half of the applicants appear for the prelims examination because attempts are the important factors in the exam. Previous year also the same trend continued.
