New Mobile App from Indian Railways to make travel more easy and comfortable

“Instead of using multiple mobile apps for different Government services, users can download the single app UMANG and access various Government services through this unique App” the official added. Noida based Spice Connect group “Spice Digital” has signed a deal to develop the first set of apps for UMANG.

Latest update is that some 200 apps will finally be a part of this big project by 2019 December. Right now the necessary thing for “Spice Digital” is to afford support Aadhar based e-KYC, document access via Digilocker and secure payments via PayGov.

How is UMANG different from Mobile Seva?

The Government already has one mobile app called as “Mobile Seva” which hordes applications from various Government departments. Now, what are the new features in UMANG and how it is different from Mobile Seva?

President of Spice Digital, Jatinder Verma said, “UMANG App will have a separate section where the people can update their preferences, frequently used services, short-cuts, and languages and so on. It will be available for all services then date entry will be reduced.”

Meanwhile, Mobile Seva will continue to exist, the main aim of developing UMANG is to reduce the time taken for different departments. Right now most Government departments don’t have mobile apps, and for this reason, UMANG is going to tie up with those agencies to help them for a smooth workflow.
