Uri Terror Attack:17 Indian Army soldiers were killed, and 19 were injured in a suicide attack on Army camp in Kashmir.The incident took place in the army administrative base camp that is close to the 12th Brigade headquarters at Uri in the district of Baramulla.

According to the soldiers, terrorists sneaked into the military base at 4’O clock in the morning.They have started shooting and throwing grenades ruthlessly which resulted in the huge human loss.

Militants have planned the attack in prior as it took place during the change of command, it means one unit was replacing another, and many soldiers were in temporary shelters.

The soldiers fought a six-hour gun-battle with the terrorists, who were heavily armed.All of them were neutralized by the soldiers and now the situation is under control.

According to the reports, they have entered into Kashmir by crossing a canal along the Line of Control (LOC) from Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Suicide attackers who are four in number participated in this attack were killed.This onslaught was the second attack by the terrorists after the Pathankot terror attack that took place in January 2016.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacting to the Uri Terror Attack said that “I assure the nation that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished.”

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has postponed his visit to Russia and USA.He tweeted that “Deeply distressed at the terror incident in Uri and the loss of 17 brave soldiers martyred. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

He also blamed Pakistan directly for the Uri Terror Attack saying that “I am deeply disappointed with Pakistan’s continued and direct support to terrorism and terrorist groups.”
