SpiceJet Launched “Smart Check – In” Counter in Hyderabad Airport to Clear the Queue

Budget Airway Carrier SpiceJet has launched Smart Check – In the facility that sends boarding passes to the user’s app. SpiceJet Smart Check In launched by Minister for Civil Aviation Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju and SpiceJet Managing Director Ajay Singh at RGIA (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport), Hyderabad.

The feature Smart Check – In counter facility will soon expand in all other Airports’ which benefits mutually to clear the queue and reduce the check in counters. The Smart Check-in the facility is available to all SpiceJet customers who book their tickets through a mobile app. It is like a mobile check-in service.

SGK Kishore, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd said, “We are undertaking a pilot project to dispense away with the stamping of hand baggage tag. Going forward, we want to make the modern e-enabled airport and in a couple of years, we’ll have 80% self-check-ins.”

The Smart Check In uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Near Field Technologies (NFC), is available for all users SpiceJet App.

Steps for Smart Check-in App

  • Mobile needs NFC enabled Smartphone
  • Smart Check-In applies to only the Customers booked their tickets using mobile app
  • Open the SpiceJet App and Tap on the NFC Check in Poster
  • Then you will get a mobile boarding pass on your Smartphones
