Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd is back with the latest announcement that it crossed 50 million subscribers in just 83 days of its launch. After a six-month free run of Jio Happy New Year offer which ends on 31st March 2017, now the company extends its offer. All the subscribers can enjoy the data services at nominal rates along with voice calls for another three months.

According to the reports, Reliance Jio associated with Mukesh Ambani announced that the company might launch a new tariff plan. And it comes with a validity period of until 30th June. The latest introductory offer will charge a price of about Rs. 100 for data while voice calls will be free.

The company’s Welcome Offer attracted over 72 million customers in four months after its commercial services launched on 5th September 2016.  Its rivals Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India, slashed the data and voice rates to counter the aggressive pricing offered by Jio. With this extended Jio Happy New Year Offer, the officials expecting more subscribers to its network.

With the latest announcement made by the company about extending of Jio Happy New Year Offer to three months, surprises the whole country. However, within no time this telecom service provider occupied vast areas of the domestic businesses.

Under certain talk plans, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India also offering unlimited national and voice calls to its customers. However, despite having 72 million subscribers, Reliance Jio is not still a primary network for most of the users. If the telecom operator increases the rates significantly, it may lose its customers.
