Keeping in view, the demand and the prevailing conditions of the customers for opting the Reliance Jio connections, the company is planning to extend the offer period. At the start, the Reliance boss Mukesh Ambani has announced the introduction offer for a 90 - days period of time. This is the maximum period of an offer that can be provided by an Telecom service provider. As per the prevailing rules of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority in India) has clipped the maximum period of 90 days for any offer to prevail.

Now, after 3rd Dec 2016, new Jio SIMs cannot be issued by the Reliance as per the TRAI rules. Hence, to extend the present offer, the company has to introduce with some other name.

There is also a problem for the new connection seekers in downloading the Jio App. Even that has been sorted by disabling the update for the Jio App. To be more elaborate, a scan code is necessary to be submitted in the Reliance stores for obtaining a new SIM. The generation of the code has been a problem for some time. That has been rectified now.

MyJio 3.2.05 v is now fully functional with a condition that no updates are done for the older version.

Also, the company has introduced an E-KYC to overcome the problem. The new connection can be obtained by providing the Aadhar number through E-KYC and the bar code can be downloaded.

Jio 4G SIMs are expected to cross the 100 million mark by the end of this fiscal financial year. Reliance digital stores and Xpress Mini stores are in day night processing of the Jio SIMs.
