JioFi 4G Hotspot

Reliance Jio recently launched its next-generation version JioFi 4G Hotspot through its Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress Mini Stores throughout the country with a price tag of Rs. 1999. It replaces the existing Jio 2 Hotspot device which had been retailing so far at the same price.

The new Reliance JioFi 4G Hotspot comes with the small OLED Display at the top which indicates all necessary information like Power on/off, Wifi tower and Network strength. That’s aside, and it markedly has a 2600mAh battery which is larger than its predecessor JioFi 2 has a 2300mAh battery.

Despite of larger battery, the Reliance JioFi 4G Hotspot comes with a usage of 5 hours and up to 260hrs standby. However, this seems to charge faster than the last generation JioFi 2. It might vary depending on the network connection. According to the reports, it will take 3hours 30 minutes to charge the device using power adapter and 6hrs using USB.

Reliance JioFi 4G Hotspot has Wifi 802.11 b/g/n support which simultaneously connects to 10 Wifi enabled devices. It also comes with a new packing which is cylindrical in shape, also contains micro USB port, power button, WPS button, micro USB cable and charger. Similar to its predecessor, the device comes with the bundled Jio 4G sim.

This is also has a facility to make voice calls by connecting the smartphone to the Wifi hotspot and use Jio4GVoice (formerly JioJoin) app to make voice and video calls. Reliance JioFi 4G Hotspot sports a conspicuous ‘Designed in India’ logo on the back of the device.
