Reliance Jio service is running successfully, and now it is the talk of the town. Jio is growing day by day by expanding its user base within a short span of time.

Reliance group chairman Mukesh Ambani today made some announcements about Reliance Jio and confirmed that the company would extend its free usage services to new and existing users by another three months.

Mukesh Ambani in an event said, “Starting from December 4, 2016, every new Jio user will get the data, voice and bunch of Jio Apps free until March 31, 2017. This is the Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer, and this will apply to all of our existing 52 million users. Existing users can sign up for a new user and enjoy free usage up to March 31, 2017, and no need to buy a new sim.”

During the announcement, Ambani mentioned that 80 percent of its current users spent 1GB data per day, while 20 percent used up excessively higher amounts of Data causing the network congest. Reliance Jio has announced a new daily FUP limit of 1GB to prevent jamming.

Ambani has also said that company is receiving more complaints from users regarding this and they are working to  resolve them.

He stated that they are making changes including new Aadhar based services that will be powered by the same substructure as eKYC activation.

After the launch of Reliance Jio in September, the company has received many problems like long queues for SIM cards, and many complaints about slow data speeds, said, Ambani.

Ambani discussed this issue and said the reasons for slow data speed. He also confirmed that Jio has signed up 6 lakh customers every day for three months. In the span of three months, we have seen millions of Indians signing up, and the company hopes more millions in future. Currently, there are 2 lakh eKYC outlets which are nearly equal to the total number of ATMs in India.

He also confirmed that Reliance Jio is now fully supporting Mobile Number Portability (MNP). So according to that all customers can keep their number while migrating to Jio. To reduce the competition and long queues for Jio Sims, the company is looking forward to provide Home delivery of Jio SIMs. The SIM can be activated through eKYC once delivered. This system will be available in all the top cities in India by December 31, 2016.
