Porsche Design has unveiled a Surface book like 2 in 1 laptop at MWC 2017. The characteristically high-end laptop gets an attractive design and a Performance Base keyboard. Porsche Design Book One gets a performance Surface Book’s hinge inspired by automotive gears. The device is built by Quanta and was co-designed by Porsche, Intel, and Microsoft.

Coming to the device, Porsche Design Book One features 13.3-inch touch QHD display. The laptop is powered by a Core i7 Intel processor. It packs 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage and runs Windows 10 Pro. Porsche Design Book One includes an infrared sensor which helps for logging in through Windows Hello. The Laptop gets a 5-megapixel web camera and a Precision Touchpad and backlit keyboard.

Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, Two USB-C ports, and a USB-C port which support ThunderBolt 3. Also, Book One supports a digital stylus which sticks to the right side of the device magnetically. There are few main differences you notice between the Book One and a Surface Book. The screen on the Book one is detachable and is 360 degrees rotatable.

Porsche Design Book One price is about $2495 and will be available in the US starting this April. However, the price is a bit on the higher end when compared to the base Surface Book. But, you get that cool hinge and detachable feature which is worth a buy.

Besides this, there are other companies touting their latest releases in the MWC 2017 event. Lenovo has launched Yoga 720 and Yoga 520 laptops with same features. It is more interesting to see what the tech giants launch new in the event.
