Narendra Modi in the List of Forbes Top 10 Powerful Persons

Prime Minster Narendra Modi in Forbes List. He has got a place in Forbes Top 10 Powerful Persons 2016 list, and the most popular magazine revealed it yesterday. Modi became most popular after he took the bold move demonetisation of currency in India. Modi was ranked ninth position in Forbes Top Ten Powerful people 2016.

Once again Russian President Vladimir Putin topped the list for a fourth consecutive year, and the new US President-elect Donald Trump is in the second place. Totally 74 person names were considered and among those Narendra Modi stood at 9th position in Forbes top 10 powerful people 2016.

Forbes said India’s prevalent Prime Minister is hugely popular in his country of 1.3 billion people. PM Modi has elevated his profile as a universal leader in recent years during official visits with Barack Obama and Xi Jining. He has also developed as a key figure in the international effort to tackle climate change, as terrestrial warming will profoundly affect millions of his country’s rural and most vulnerable citizens

He became most popular in recent times after he announced the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in the country. It is a very brave decision that has been taken by the Modi to crackdown black money, terror funding and illegal activities.

The Forbes Top 10 Powerful Leaders 2016 list has been topped by Russia President Putin who holds the world’s most powerful leader title for four years running. US President Barack Obama is in 48th position. Forbes said, “There are approximately 7.4 billion people on planet earth, but these 74 men and women make the world turn. The magazine gives the ranking of the world’s most powerful persons every year based on the one person out of every 100 million whose activities mean the most.”

The popular magazine also said, Russian President Vladimir Putin has utilized his country’s influence on nearly every side of the globe; from the motherland Syria to the US presidential elections. The second slot took by US president-elect Trump who surprised Hilary Clinton in the last election with his victory.

The list also includes Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani at 38th position. He created Tsunami in Indian telecom market with the launch of Reliance Jio 4G service in September 2016. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was also on the list and placed at 51st spot.

The third most powerful person in the world is none other than Angela Merkel who is chancellor of Germany and the backbone of the European Union.

The Top 10 Forbes Powerful People 2016 list also includes Xi on the 4th place, Pope Francis, 5, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, 7, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, 10, French President Francois Hollande, 23, Apple CEO Tim Cook, 32, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, 43 and ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, 57.
