Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the Time Online Poll 2016 person of the year beating Obama and Trump by a huge margin. He won 18% of votes in the online poll of Time Person of the year 2016 beating the other leaders such as US President-elect Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Surprisingly, Modi won 18% of votes when the poll closed last night and got more votes than world top leaders like Putin, Obama, Trump and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange those are all received only 7% votes in the contest. Not only, these leaders, Modi has also placed far ahead of other prominent figures of this year like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and US Presidential Nominee Hilary Clinton (4%), Time Said.

Time’s editors will reveal the Time Person of the year later this week, but the online poll results gave a look at how the world sees these figures and Modi arisen as the most prominent leader in 2016.

Time said the reader poll is an “Important Window” into who they think most shaped 2016. It is the second time for Modi got a top place in Time Person of the Year poll after he took charge as a Prime Minister in 2014. He had got more than 16% of the almost five million votes cast.

However, this is the fourth time in a row, Modi name is on the list of Time’s person of the year honor which the US publication gives every year to the one. Last year Time Person of the year had gone to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Coming to this time, Times said in recent months, Modi saw high support ratings from Indians according to the poll. After the daring move on the ban f Rs 500 and 1000 notes, Modi became the center of attraction in India and many other countries.

Now the latest Tim Online Poll Results for a person of the year analyzed by poll host Apester found that preferences changed across the world and the United States. Notably, Modi performed well among Indian Voters as well Indian Voters in California and New Jersey. Modi had been in the lead position this year polls, and according to the original vote cast, he had got 21% in his favor.
