Kawasaki has launched new ZX-10RR supersport motorcycle in India. The sports bike is a limited edition offering across the globe not exceeding 500 units. And in India, only a few are going to grab this limited edition machine on hands. New Kawasaki ZX-10RR price in India is about Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The ZX-10RR Supersport is manufactured based on the Ninja ZX-10R.

The ‘RR’ performs better with focused and sophisticated equipment for best riding experience. The matte black paint finish gives the motorcycle a premium look. Discussing the features, the Kawasaki ZX-10RR packs KQS quick-shifter which allow clutching fewer shifts and avoids rear wheel lock.

The 998 cc engine gets carbon-coated tappets and a stronger crankcase for better durability. There are also high-lift camshafts on offer along with a modified cylinder head with 0.7 mm valve.

Kawasaki ZX-10RR gets the power output from the 1-litre engine which produces 197 bhp at 13,000 rpm. The engine is mated to the 6-speed gearbox which drives power to rear wheel. The motorcycle is rolled out with 7-spoke forged aluminum alloy wheels and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The standard version tech wizards like the 5-stage traction control, 3-stage launch control and Bosch Inertial Management unit (IMU).

Kawasaki claims the upgrades in the ZX-10RR results in 2 seconds faster on the company’s official test track in Japan. As of now, Kawasaki hasn’t unveiled the details about how many units will be allotted for the Indian market. This ZX-10RR is the first street-legal motorcycle in India from Kawasaki.

The company is looking forward to bring more models to India later in this year. It would be more interesting to see the new Ninja 650, new Z650 (Er-6N replacement) and the Z900 (Z800 replacement). All three models were exhibited at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan last year.
