Facebook Messenger launches Group Video Chat support for Android and iOS

Many people use Facebook Messenger for different reasons like keeping everyone up-to-date, planning vacations and share images, videos or few jokes. Around 245 million people make video calls in the Messenger every month. Now Facebook Messenger updated to the group chats in face-to-face conversations no matter where you are.

How it works

This Group Video Chat is easy to use. At a time six users can appear in a split-screen and can also make Snapchat style selfie masks. Don’t worry if the group is bit larger, up to 50 people can join choose to listen, join voice in or be on camera. Once the limit crossed over six people, the dominant speaker is shown to all.

To get started

• You need the latest version of Facebook Messenger.
• Tap on the existing group conversation or create a new one.
• Select the video icon on the upper right of the screen to enter the Group Video Chat.
• Everyone in the group will be notified.
• You can directly ring to a few people or whole group at a time.
